The department has 8 modernized classrooms and 2 tutorial rooms containing ICT facilities including internet access. Classrooms and tutorial rooms of the department each of which are having acoustic facility, sound system, projector, projector screen, white board and green board allows smooth conduct of theory and tutorial classes. Air-conditioned departmental HOD office room, 3 Faculty Rooms having cubicles with Desktop PC, Laptop, printer and scanner for each faculty and one Meeting/ Seminar Roomwith smart projection facility for all academic meetings.
The Department has several well equipped laboratories catering to the needs of not only the CSE students but also students from other departments. The present infrastructure is excellent to carry out research and other academic works by UG and PG students. All facilities to the students of department of CSE (UG & PG) are confined in the 3rd Floor of the new Building of RCCIIT. Laboratories of the department each of which are Air-conditioned, and having PAS, projector, projector screen, fire sensor & sprinkler, white board, High speed fiber optic internet facility and equipment, where students can do their Lab works, Project works and Research works, are as follows:

RCC Institute of Information Technology (RCCIIT) was set up in 1999 by the erstwhile Regional Computer Centre (RCC), Calcutta (in JU) as a unique joint venture of NIC, Ministry of Communication & IT, Govt. of India and Dept. of Higher Education, Govt. of West Bengal. In 2003 the lead role of management of RCCIIT was transferred to the State Govt. from Govt. of India.
