This Cell is responsible for all exam related and academic matters including notifications, exam form fill-up, form verification, subject-wise faculty tagging, result publication, marksheet/degree certificate distribution and verification, monitoring of continuous assessment and marks submission, appointing viva/voce examiners, seat and invigilator arrangement during semester examination etc. The Cell coordinates with the University and provides guidance to the students regarding exam related matters. Post admission registration process for all newly admitted students is also taken care of by the Cell.

RCC Institute of Information Technology (RCCIIT) was set up in 1999 by the erstwhile Regional Computer Centre (RCC), Calcutta (in JU) as a unique joint venture of NIC, Ministry of Communication & IT, Govt. of India and Dept. of Higher Education, Govt. of West Bengal. In 2003 the lead role of management of RCCIIT was transferred to the State Govt. from Govt. of India.
